What should I pack for the desert night?

Essentials include layered clothing (very cold at night, hot during the day), a warm jacket, sturdy shoes, a scarf, sunscreen, and a headlamp or flashlight.

Day 1: Agadir to Zagora Sahara Desert

Morning Pick-up: Departure from your hotel in Agadir.
Scenic Drive & Visits: Travel through Berber villages, the saffron capital of Taliouine, and the carpet town of Taznakht.
Ait Ben Haddou: Explore the famous UNESCO-listed Ksar and visit the Atlas Cinema Studios in Ouarzazate.
Lunch: Enjoy lunch in Ouarzazate.
Dades Valley: Visit the stunning Dades Valley with its dramatic rock formations.
Overnight in Tinghir: Check into your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Tinghir to Merzouga Desert via Rissani & Arfoud

Todra Gorge: After breakfast, visit the magnificent Todra Gorge in Tinghir to admire its towering canyon walls and oasis.
Journey to Sahara: Travel towards Merzouga via Arfoud and Rissani.
Lunch: Stop to taste a delicious local Berber pizza.
Sunset Camel Trek: Arrive in Merzouga and embark on a 1.5-hour camel trek into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi for a spectacular sunset.
Desert Camp: Arrive at a traditional nomadic bivouac (camp) for the night.
Dinner & Entertainment: Enjoy a traditional dinner, local music (Berber drums), and stargazing.

Day 3: Merzouga to Agadir via Taznakht & Taroudant

Sunrise & Breakfast: Optional sunrise views over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp.
Morning Camel Trek: Take a final camel trek back to the village of Merzouga (around 9:00 AM).
Return Journey: Begin the long drive back to Agadir, passing through Taznakht and the “mini-Marrakech” city of Taroudant.
Evening Drop-off: Arrival in Agadir scheduled for late evening.
